100 Days of Gratitude
*PHEW!* – Made it!
Today I am thankful for reaching my target of 100 days – focusing on something, anything to be grateful for for 100 days, starting on my Birthday last year and finishing up today. Each day I have found a little something, a major event or a natural phenomena which has lifted my mood and brightened my day.
I think, for the majority of the last 100 days we have also been in lock down in the UK too, so finding gratitude under such circumstances has helped to keep me sane. For you look through the mundane events of each day, sometimes at work, mostly at home and seek out the positive elements within the doom and gloom of not being able to go anywhere or do anything or see anyone.
But even between my life here – work (when I am on flexi furlough) and the supermarket – the only other place I have been in months! It is still possible to seek out gratitude and hang onto it like a life jacket.
It is something that I am going to carry on with, I have a jar at home and each day I put in a slip of paper with a single sentence to mark something to be thankful for each day – the jar I started on New Years day and has been running along side the blog up until this moment when the jar will take on the role and my aim is 365 days of gratitude – So I have a whole year in a jar full of positive memories for each day.
So… Where does the blog go from here?
I had thought of quitting after this challenge, but I still love writing.
Truth is, I don’t know currently – I’m going to take a week off just for a short break after my 100 day marathon. I will be back next Monday and I’m going to take the time to consider the direction for my blogging from here on.
Thank you for sticking with me during the last 100 days!
Congratulations.
I knew you’d do it.
Many days I too had to reflect on the simple things I take for granted. We’re so spoiled and don’t even know it.
